A Happy Ending
I was reading a book to Max today, and it hit me how clear everything is in a fictitious narrative. You can see immediately when a character is acting immorally or in a way that will lead to trouble. That fact is not too disturbing, however, since you can easily determine why the character is acting inappropriately. You are aware that the destructive chain of events will serve an ultimate purpose. There will be a benefit to the suffering experienced by the characters. They have their parts to play and must act in certain ways in order for the author to use them to deliver his or her message.
Wouldn’t it be nice to have that same insight into our own lives: to realize that you act in certain ways for a reason and know that it’s all for the best. I am no determinist by any means. I think it’s more a matter of perspective: seeing the big picture and realizing that our actions are never without purpose.
I guess this is the kind of stuff I think about when I am not reading text books. How many more days until Winter classes start?

A lot of kids books these days are very in depth as far as teaching life lessons. I don’t say that like it’s a bad thing either, the faster they grow good charachter within the them, the better!
I believe for every action - there’s a reaction. Sometimes it’s not what you had planned out or wanted but, it is what it is and you’re left to deal with it. There’s no delete or backspace button in life. I truly believe that everything we do, we have to do with purpose and even if it doesn’t turn out exactly how you imagined it, eventually you find that it’s exactly what you wanted.
